Go Painless With the Lasik Surgery

Lasik is the most sought after a surgical procedure that is used to correct the refractive errors in the eyes. Lasik treatment is used to treat a series of ocular conditions such as myopia, astigmatism, hyperobia. In this treatment the shape of the cornea is changed permanently. This non-invasive procedure is carried out incorporating laser via professional ophthalmologist. Being non invasive procedure, it gives fast results and the best part of this surgery is that it leads to faster recovery among patients.

Lasik surgery in Delhi is hugely getting popular and it has largely opted for those who suffer from common eye vision problems. Nowadays Lasik is considered the best treatment to regain the lost visions. It is specifically preferred for those patients who have severe eye problems and compelled to wear eyeglasses or lenses. Lasik surgery permanently changes the structure of the cornea so patients do not have to be dependent on lenses or glasses for the accurate vision.

Prior to the performance of Lasik surgery, a patient is made to wear special soft contact lenses for a period of 2 to 4 weeks. After this period the patient’s cornea structure is examined in order to know the surface contour and map curvature. Prior to the surgery the patient is administered with an antibiotic to reduce or nullify the chances of infection.

The Lasik is a painless procedure. It does not cause any kind of pain and it is performed while the patient is awake. The patient is fully conscious and aware of the things going on. An anesthesia is administered to the eye of the patient. The entire process takes about 15 to 20 minutes and the patients are discharged immediately.

Lasik is a procedure which changes the shape of the cornea with the use of an artificial laser. Microkeratome is the instrument used for removing the portions of the cornea. There are different kind of procedures have been invented to conduct the Lasik surgery that reshapes the cornea. Once the reshaping of the cornea is done, the surgeon repositioned the flap over the treatment location. After the treatment a slight irritation might occur in the eyes of some patients but that remains only for a few hours.

In India the popularity of Lasik treatment is increasing at a rapid pace. Patients are finding it as a safe way to regain their lost vision. Moreover, they are preferred because this is a very quick procedure which takes around 10 to 15 minutes and patients don’t have to get admitted in the hospital.
